Printing & Card Quality

Magical Proxy is a print-on-demand card printing service. Catalog designs may offer regular or foil variants, while Custom Orders currently use our regular finish. Every approved design is produced on premium black-core cardstock with close attention to color, cut and finish.

Three steps

From artwork to finished card

    Choose

    Browse the singles, lands, tokens and bundles already available in our catalog. Choose the artwork and finish that fit your deck or personal collection.

    Print

    Select regular or foil where available. Each chosen design is prepared at trading-card dimensions with its front and back aligned for print.

    Inspect

    The finished cards are checked for color, surface, cut and consistency so the artwork reads clearly and the cards handle naturally when sleeved.

330gsm Black Core Cardstock

The same feel as standard sleeved cards — same weight, same snap, same shuffle.

Black core is the inner layer sandwiched between the front and back prints. It blocks light from passing through the card, so even when held against a lamp you can’t see what’s on the other side. That opacity gives the finished card a consistent, professional appearance.

330gsm is the weight — the same thickness and rigidity used for premium trading cards. They sleeve cleanly, shuffle like regular cards, and sit naturally in a deck alongside other sleeved cards.

The Superior SmoothCard gloss finish gives the printed artwork a clean, vibrant surface and a smooth feel while handling and shuffling the cards.

Standard print

Full-color alternative art printed directly on the 330gsm black-core stock with a Superior SmoothCard gloss finish. Our default — and what most players pick for their playtest decks.

Foil finish

A reflective metallic layer beneath the ink catches the light and shifts color as the card moves. Same cardstock, same weight — just with the extra shimmer. Perfect for commander signatures and showcase slots.

Double-sided cards are supported too — front and back are printed independently on the same stock, so flip cards and transform mechanics work as intended.
